Expertise
Claire advises on trusts and estate litigation and acts on behalf of both individuals and charities. She advises both claimants and defendants on a range of contentious issues including disputed wills, trust administration issues, claims under the Inheritance (Provisions for Family and Dependants) Act 1975, Court of Protection matters and issues arising from the administration of estates. She advises charities on a wide range of contentious issues and has considerable experience in dealing with the Charity Commission and the Office of the Scottish Charity Regulator.
Key Experience and Clients
- Advised a major UK charity on a wide range of contentious and regulatory issues with cross-jurisdictional elements. This is an ongoing matter.
- Assisted in the reported case, Franks v Sinclair [2006] EWHC 3365 (ch), in which we acted for the defendants who successfully challenged the validity of their late grandmother's Will.

Claire is a member of the Association for Contentious Trusts and Probate Specialists (ACTAPS) and a student member of the Society of Trust and Estate Practitioners (STEP).
